APACHE MAKING NGV CONVERSIONS AVAILABLE TO TULSA NONPROFITS

Apache Corp. is ready to convert Tulsa’s nonprofits to CNG. Once again the Houston- based oil and gas producer is offering to provide conversion kits for those qualified agencies that are willing to convert their vehicles to run on CNG. The eligible groups are nonprofits, colleges and municipalities or other government agencies. “Our goal is to enable nonprofits and other agencies to enjoy the economic and environmental benefits of natural gas transportation as they pursue their community-focused activities,” said Rob Johnston, executive vice president heading up Apache’s Central Region based in Tulsa. “We believe Oklahoma is in a great position to lead the way and show the rest of the country that natural gas is the preferred alternative transportation fuel because it’s abundant, affordable and produced here at home.” Last year, Apache was able to award conversion kits to all the local nonprofits that requested grants and met the requirements.
