Maryland Opens $2 Million in Grants for NGV Station Development

The Maryland Energy Administration has begun accepting applications for its Natural Gas Refilling Station Grant Program. The Program is intended to grow the number of publically accessible fast-fill natural gas stations in the State. The new program is funded through the Strategic Energy Investment Fund in partnership with the Maryland Energy Administration, Maryland Clean Cities Coalition, Maryland Department of Environment and Gladstein Neandross & Associates. The program will provide financial assistance to one or more eligible applicants that install, own, and operate natural gas refilling stations in Maryland. Successful applicants must propose a location that extends the range and reach of NGVs along transportation corridors, such as major highways, shipping routes and population centers. Applications will be awarded on a competitive basis. All submissions must be received by January 12, 2015. More information on this program is available here.
