Waste Management Opens CNG Station for Detroit Fleet

On Thursday, Waste Management opened a new CNG fueling facility in Detroit, Michigan to service its fleet of 38 refuse trucks that serve the area. The fleet of natural gas trucks is a first for Waste Management in the State of Michigan. A dedication ceremony and ribbon-cutting was held with local officials and Waste Management area vice president Denise Gretz providing featured speeches. Waste Management has five trucks on order that will arrive over the few months, and the company plans to transition the entire 70 truck fleet to natural gas over the next couple years.
