Pennsylvania Water Company Opens Second Time-Fill CNG Station

On Thursday, Aqua Pennsylvania cut the ribbon on the water utility’s second time-fill CNG fueling facility in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. The station has 12 fueling hoses to fuel the utility’s current fleet of NGVs operating out of that location. Aqua received a $35,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Financing Authority toward the $200,000 station. The company purchased its first bi-fuel pickup in 1997 and expects to have 90 CNG vehicles in operation within the next five years. In 2012, an initial investment of $130,000 was made in a time-fill station at Aqua’s Springfield (Delaware County) operations center. Plans are also in the works to install time-fill station at the company’s West Chester (Chester County) operations centers.
